Services for Edna Martha (Goedrich) Magee of Snook are set for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Somerville. Interment will follow at Snook Cemetery. Msgr. John McCaffrey will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016 with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mrs. Magee passed away on March 18, 2016 at her home in Somerville surrounded by loved ones.
Edna was born April 9, 1923 in Schulenburg, Texas to Henry Goedrich and Marie (Malcher) Goedrich. She married Roy Magee June 1, 1946 in Houston, Texas. Magee was a secretary for 35 years in Houston prior to moving to Snook in 1981.
Edna was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Somerville. She loved her family, friends, playing dominoes, fishing, ranching, and football. Her smile would light up the room.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, GR and Yolin Magee, Henry and Peggy Magee; sister, Ruby Davis; six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Sikes, Tom Collins, David Hart, Kenneth Vajdak, Bennie Ray Sebesta, and Billy Perimon.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell.
