Mary M. Belton, 85, of Colts Neck Township, died yesterday at home after a lengthy illness.

Mary was born to Margaret and Matthew Nestor in Jersey City, NJ. She was a 1948 graduate of St. Michael's High School, in Jersey City and married her lifelong love Thomas J. Belton in 1954. They moved to Carteret in 1961 and to Colts Neck in 1977.

She is survived by her four sons, Thomas A. and his wife Kathleen of Pipersville, PA; Terrence M. and his wife Mary of Kenilworth, IL; Christopher and his wife Yukiko of Kew Gardens, NY; Bryan D. and his wife Andrea of Brookline, MA; two daughters, Mary C. Russo and her husband Leonard of Colts Neck, NJ; Elizabeth Mastriano and her husband Gabriel of Middletown, NJ; one brother Matthew Nestor of Fords, NJ; thirteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband Thomas who died in 1991.

Visitation will be at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 Holmdel Road, Holmdel on Sunday, January 31st from 2 pm. - 6 pm with a funeral Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colts Neck on Monday at 9 am. Interment St. Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that a donation be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue New York, NY 10065.
