Louis Paolillo beloved Husband, Father, Father-in-Law, Poppy, Brother and Friend.

Born in Brooklyn, New York on June 29, 1935; died January 4, 2016 at his home in Morganville where he resided since 1977.

The son of an immigrant longshoreman from Naples, Italy, Lou led a full and productive life of 80+ years, truly living the American Dream. He loved his family, first and foremost, followed closely by his love of good meals with his family, extended family and friends.

Lou graduated from Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, where he discovered and honed an expertise in math and numbers. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany in the late 1950's. He had a very successful 50 year career on the floor of the American Stock Exchange, working his way up from runner, to clerk, to broker, to specialist, ultimately running his own specialist firm with his partners for many years. He truly enjoyed his work, and calmly thrived in a stressful environment. He had a photographic memory for numbers and could track multiple stocks, prices and sizes simply from recollection. He loved to travel and explore new dining experiences, especially with his family, watch his Yankees play ball, and was happiest when he was hosting a party surrounded by family and friends. He was extremely generous and a true gentleman. He was very active and supportive in his children and grandchildren's lives, and was always there to provide terrific advice and guidance.

Lou is survived by his wife Nancy, with whom he was happily married for 54 years, his three children, Louis, Michael and Nadine, and seven grandchildren (Matthew, Michael, Joseph, Olivia, Daniel, Rachel & Sofia). He will be missed terribly and always remembered as a terrific Husband, Father, Father-in-law, Poppy, Brother and Friend…

Visitation Wed. January 6th, 4-8 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. The funeral mass will be offered Thurs. January 7th, 10 am at St. Gabriel's RC Church, 100 N. Main St., Marlboro. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro. To share a favorite memory of Mr. Paolillo please visit www.holmdelfuneralhome.com.
