Mildred L. (Vandevort) Calton-Cyphert 89 of Fort Myers, Florida and formerly of Sugarcreek went home to be with the LORD on Monday, December 28, 2015 in Florida. She was born February 5, 1926 in Dover to the late S.L. and Lula (McClain) Vandevort. She worked in the parts dept. of Wayne Hayes Auto Parts for many years, had worked at several are restaurants and had MC Upholstery in Dover. She was married to Max Calton who died in 1968 and was the married to John Cyphert who died in 2000. She is survived by her children Garry (Mollie) Calton of Charlotte, MI, Coe (Larry) Corfee of TN, Patty (Armando) Pagliarini of Fort Myers, Fla., and Roger (Tami) Calton of Pensacola, Fla., step son John P. Cyphert of Massillon, daughter-in-law Leah (Stanley) Yoder of Walnut Creek, 10 grandchildren; Todd (Carrie) Calton, Kimberly (Brad) Wathne, Jason (Hope) Calton, Tom (Mari) Calton, John (Jen) Rufener, Bill (Jen) Rufener, Monnet (Steve), Bridget Wallace, Wendy Wallace, and Max Calton, 22 great grandchildren and her sister Dorothy Hummel passed away on the same day just hours earlier. In addition to her parents and her two husbands, she is preceded in death by a grandson Robert Matthew Rufener in 1974, her son Lowell Wayne Calton in 2003 and two brothers Norman and Leonard Vandevort. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek with Pastor Darcy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek. Friends may call on Monday 4-6 PM at the funeral home. For those unable to attend please visit the funeral home website to share a memory and sign the guest register.
