Robert D. Williams, Sr. 91 of Atlantic City went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 13, 2015, peacefully at home.
Born in Jenkin Jones, West Virginia he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Carrie) Fuqua Williams Bryant and Will Williams.
Robert was educated in the Atlantic City Public Schools. He served in World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. Robert worked as a chef at Jack Gashards and carpet installer for Kensington Furniture. He later owned and operated his own carpet installation business. He retired from Harrah's Casino as a carpet repairman and part time security guard. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church where he served as Trustee, Vice President of the Usher Board #2, kitchen committee cook and building committee.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by stepfather, Robert Bryant.
Robert is survived by: loving wife of 72 years, Audrey; sons, Robert Jr (Glenda), Bruce (Doris) and Jeff (Vita); daughter, Joyce (Adama); 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, god daughter, and a host of other relatives and friends.
