Funeral services for Mildred "Millie" Bowden Sikes, 87, of Rockwall, formerly of Wills Point, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Andrew Cross and Mr. Charlie Finster officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas at 1:30 p.m.

She passed away Thursday night, October 29, 2015 at Highland Meadows Nursing Home in Rockwall, surrounded by her family.

Mildred was born November 4, 1927, in Bunker Hill, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph Finster and Ersia Billhimer Finster. She was raised in Indiana. On January 26, 1947, she married Charles Bowden in Peru, Indiana. Millie was a retired LVN and also retired from American National Bank in Wills Point, where she had worked for several years. On December 2, 1995, she married Arthur Sikes in Wills Point. Millie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over fifty years. Her membership was in Canton, formerly in Wills Point and Grand Saline. She enjoyed playing the piano and crocheting. Millie was also a member of the First Christian Church in Wills Point.

Preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Charles Bowden and Arthur D. Sikes; three sisters and two brothers.

Millie is survived by her daughter, Patti Rodriguez & husband, Eracio, of Rockwall; brother, Jay Finster, of Wildwood, Florida; three grandchildren, Teresa Titchywy & husband, Dan, of Dallas, Tony Rodriguez & wife, Debbie, of Mesquite and Christina Rodriguez Poulter, of Crandall; eight great-grandchildren, George, Desiray, Christopher, Nathaniel, Michael, Angelica, Shiloh and T.J. and two great-great grandchildren, Alana and Mady.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
