Samuel Lee Clanton, Jr. or "Mister as he was affectionately called by his mother, passed away October 17, 2015. Mister was born to the late Jazz Pianist, Samuel Lee Clanton, Sr. of Norfolk, VA and Julia Mae Gilmore Clanton of Washington, D.C. on November 4, 1953, in the Atlantic City Hospital in Atlantic City, NJ.

Samuel was baptized and confirmed in 1963 with both of his parents at St. Augustine's Episcopal Church of Atlantic City under the leadership of Father Kenneth MacDonald. Samuel was employed as a cook at Huyler's Restaurant and later Bally's and Showboat Casinos until his health began to fail.

Following in his Father's footsteps he was very fond of music. He loved to attend the free concerts at the Gardner's Basin as well as the Plaza Center on the Boardwalk. He spent many hours singing and playing his keyboard and listening to his huge record collection.
