Funeral service for Johnnie Truman "Skeeter" Kizzia, 77, of Wills Point, is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Robert Slayton officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

He passed away Tuesday morning, October 20, 2015, at his residence in Wills Point.

Johnnie was born March 5, 1938, in Kaufman, the son of John Ruben Kizzia and Ora Lee Tyler Kizzia. He was raised in the Kaufman and Terrell areas. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. On June 11, 1972, he married Alice Davidson in Terrell. Skeeter was a heavy equipment operator for McKinney Crushing, located in Terrell, retiring after forty years of service. He loved his family very much and enjoyed fishing, hunting, ranching and all outdoor activities. Skeeter was a member of the First Baptist Church in Terrell.

Preceded in death by his parents, John Ruben Kizzia and Ora Lee Kizzia; daughter, Pamela Johnice Kizzia; three brothers, Walter Kizzia, Robert Kizzia and Marvin Kizzia; four sisters, Vivian Tull, Vera Aguirce, Mary Lee Berrea and Betty Ruth Lynch and mother of his children, Nioma Furrh Kizzia.

Skeeter is survived by his wife, Alice Davidson Kizzia, of Wills Point; two sons, Michael K. Barnes & wife, Mary Lynn, of Big Sandy and Russell L. Kizzia & wife, Debbie, of Farmington, New Mexico; three daughters, Rhonda G. Kizzia, of Dallas, Lisa J. Prosser & husband, Matt, of Tyler and Donna L. McClung, of Terrell; sister, Cynthia Slayton, of Rule; seven grandchildren, Russell K. Kizzia & wife, Amy, Laelah Kizzia, Matthew McClung, Anna Cantu, Tara Barnes, Larrissa Jay and Connor Barnes and three great-grandchildren, Kollin Kizzia, Kennedy Kizzia and Antonio Cox.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
