On Thursday, July 9, 2015, Annie Vernice Moore, 86, of East Orange, N.J., passed away at Alaris Health at Cedar Grove.
Born in Ocilla, Ga., Annie was a resident of East Orange for 46 years. She was employed as an educator within the East Orange school district for 20 years before retiring.
Annie was the beloved wife of Leonard Moore; loving mother of Alvah T. Beander, Hafizah Cavell Ahmad-Bennett, and Thelma A. Ramsey; devoted daughter of Thelma Missouri Augusta Hill, and dear sister of Willis Hill Jr., and Wilma C. Davis. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
