Douglas P. Young, 57, of Webster, NH, died peacefully early Sunday morning March 22, 2015 in Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after a brief illness.
Douglas was born in Englewood, NJ, October 25, 1957 a son of the late Douglas and Lee (Penna) Young.
Doug is a graduate of Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, NJ. He worked as a Broadcast Engineer for Panasonic, NJ, Great Northern Video, Pembroke, NH, CBS WBZ Television Boston, and DirecTV of New Hampton, NH. Doug enjoyed building, woodworking and tinkering with his tractor. Most of all Doug will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband and father who truly cherished every moment he spent with his entire family.
Doug will be missed by his beloved wife Cynthia Pelletier Aho-Young of Webster, NH, four children; Dana Young of Rochester, NH, Sara Young of Mountain Top, PA, Jessica Pelletier of Pittsburg, CA and Jacqueline Campbell of Baldwinville, MA, one brother; Robert Young of Anaheim, CA, two sisters, Deborah King of Irvine, CA and Donna Risché of Fullerton, CA, two grandchildren; Madallyn Campbell and Clara Reed, one niece; Jacquelyn Risché of Geneva, NY, and his long time friend of 48 years Jim Manginelli of Semmes, AL.
Relatives and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Doug's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Lamoureux Fletcher and Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner, on Monday March 30, 2015 from 6-8PM. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday March 31, 2015 beginning at 11AM. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bridge St., Baldwinville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug's memory to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for Lung Cancer research.
