Peggy E. Autrey, 78, wife of James William Autrey, died Sunday, March 1, 2015.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Waddy Ernest and Leha Jane Alexander Ellenberg.
Mrs. Autrey was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sisters, Eleanor Lawson of Simpsonville and Evelyn Vaughan of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Alvie McClain; and brothers, Clyde, Wyatt, Albert, Clifton, Levoy, Eugene and Maurice Ellenberg.
Visitation will be held March 5, 2015 from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington Avenue Baptist Church, 200 North Washington Avenue, Greenville, SC 29611.
