Ruth Elizabeth Fennell, 73, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2015.
Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Penny and Ruth Alexander Fennell.
Miss Fennell retired from the Greenville County School District.
Surviving are sisters, Marilyn Darnell and husband, The Reverend Otis Darnell of Taylors; Barbara Fenninger and husband, William of Taylors, Cheryl Poletynski and husband, Dale of Baltimore, MD, and Julie Shiebeck of Taylors; fifteen nieces and nephews; thirty-one great nieces and nephews,; twenty great great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Robert Donald Fennell; and a brother-in-law, Bernard Shiebeck.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
