Jackie Travis Foster, 78, of Greenville, died Monday, March 2, 2015.
Born in Alexander City, Alabama, he was the son of the late John Travis and Jessie Lou McCullough Foster.
Jackie was an officer in the US Navy and was a graduate of Georgia Tech. For many years he worked as a Registered Professional Engineer with the J E Sirrine Company and retired from Ford, Bacon and Davis. Jackie was also the owner of several US patents.
Survivors include his Life Partner, Pat Dockery; and one brother, Jerry Dewayne Foster, and wife Mary Ann of Roper, NC.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 AM in the chapel.
Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.
