George Walton "Pete" Hardeman Jr., beloved husband of the late Annie Mann Hardeman, died February 27, 2015.
Born August 27, 1923 in Macon, GA, he was the son of the late George W. and Emma Hackney Hardeman Sr., a member of Monaghan Baptist Church, and a WWII Navy veteran, having served on the USS Leedstown and USS Dyess.
Mr. Hardeman is survived by his children, George Hardeman III (Helen), Michael Hardeman (Suzanne), Bill Hardeman (Barbara), Pam Alexander (David), Jack Hardeman (Laurie); loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 4 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Wounded Warriors (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or Honor Flight of Greenville (www.honorflightupstatesc.com).
