Robert "Bob" Kepler, age 86, of Prudenville passed away on Monday January 19, 2015 at Grayling Mercy Hospital.
Bob was born on December 24, 1928 in Houghton Lake Heights, Michigan to John & Hazel (Slingerland) Kepler. He graduated in 1947 from the Old Stone School in Houghton Lake. He married Valerie Bowden on August 23, 1948 in Lansing. Bob retired from U of M Transportation Authority, where he worked as a foreman. He was a member of the Houghton Lake Eagles, the Houghton Lake Moose. He enjoyed playing basketball, hunting and fishing with his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his daughter; Connie Clark of St. Helen, grandson; Ronald Clark of Prudenville, grandson; Derek (Linda) Clark of Manchester, granddaughter; Shannon (fiancé Stephen John) Caddell of Prudenville, great grandchildren; Kiersten & Hannah Caddell, Vincent Rose, Landon & Kaylee Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Valerie, sisters; Nancy and Rosaland, brothers; George, William.
A graveside service will be held on May 1, 2015 at 2 pm at the Denton Township Cemetery, Prudenville, Michigan. You may express your condolences to the family at www.christler-holdship.com
