Ellen M. Miller, age 81, of Houghton Lake passed away on Friday January 23, 2015 at her home with her family by her side.
Ellen was born on July 4, 1933 in Midland, Michigan to Roy S. & Ella (Snooks) Adams. She married Harold S. Miller on June 24, 1950 in Lake Station. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Prudenville, she enjoyed cooking, cleaning, knitting, crocheting, an avid reader but she enjoyed her family most of all.
Ellen is survived by her son; William Miller of Houghton Lake, daughter; Debbie Cartier of Montrose, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sister; Arlene Loviska of Burton, sister; Donalda Phenicie of Woodstock, Virginia, sister; Geraldine (Bob) Embrey of Farwell, brother; Clarence Adams of Reed City, brother; Bill (Pat) Adams of Florida, sister-in-law; Betty Adams of Farwell, brother-in-law; Orville Cotton of Flushing, and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, her husband Harold in 2007, son; Richard in 2008, son; Harold Jr. in 2003, brother; Harold Adams in 1982, brother; Dave and his wife Barb Adams, sister; Anna Cotton in 2015, daughter-in-law; Vonnie in 2005, daughter-in-law; Edy in 2006, sister-in-law; Sherry Adams in 1996, granddaughter; Denise Miller-Jones in 1998, nephew; Jack Phenicie Jr.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday January 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Prudenville from 4 pm to 7 pm. The funeral will take place on Saturday January 31, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Prudenville at 1 pm with Rev. Douglas Stockwell officiating.
