Robert Lawrence Partyka, age 65, of Prudenville passed away at his home on Thursday January 22, 2015.
Robert was born on June 23, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank & Esther (Petrusch) Partyka. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. He worked for many years as a material handler for General Motors at the Fischer Body Plant in Livonia. He married Patricia Tarnowski on September 13, 1975 in Detroit. He moved to Prudenville in 2010 from Novi. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Houghton Lake Moose, and Houghton Lake Eagles.
Robert is survived by his sister; Patricia (Joe) Ryzewicz of Southfield, Ex-wife Patricia Partyka of Prudenville, and many friends in the Houghton Lake area. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Wednesday January 28, 2015 at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel at 11 am with father Joe Muszkiewicz to conduct the service. The family will greet friends from 10 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
