CARTER – Marie Rolande Cecile Carter, passed away on September 10, 2014. Born and raised in Fairfield, Maine on February 17, 1924 to Onesime and Delina Bilodeau until it was decided by the family to move to Collinsville, Connecticut in the early 1930's. Cecile is survived by her husband of 61 years, George Carter of New Hartford; sons, David Carter of Winchester, CT and Robert Carter of West Springfield, MA; grandchildren, Joshua Carter, Rebecca Carter, Danielle Witte and Michelle Carter Crane who will soon bring Cecile's 7th grandchild. Cecile has been blessed with 6 great grandchildren, Sophia, Lily, Johnson, Anna, Corine and Evelyn. As a wonderful housewife and mother, Cecile also enjoyed her career working with the elderly as a Nurses Aide in Avon and Farmington, both an employee and private duty. During the war years, she was employed at St. Francis Hospital as an Operating Room Aide. Friends are invited to join the family for quiet prayer on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, New Hartford from 9 – 10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM.
