Mildred Wilson Curling, 82, passed away peacefully at home Monday, July 7, 2014. She was a longtime resident of Norfolk and the daughter of the late Samuel Perry Wilson and Dorothy Huffington Wilson. She was predeceased by her husband Chapman Lee Curling; her sisters Virginia W. Kane and Dorothy W. Scott.
She is survived by daughters Sharon C. Nobles and Rebecca C. Hawthorne (Thurman); grandchildren Allen C. Nobles (Dawn), Carol Ann Hutchings (Matthew), Douglas P. Hawthorne; and great granddaughters Savanna and Haleigh Nobles. Three Generations of nieces and nephews will miss their Aunt Num Num. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Navy Memorial in honor of her father; retired Chief Warrant Officer Samuel Perry Wilson.
