Betty Marie Buras, 82, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She was born July 23, 1931 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Hartwell Edward Remsburg and Minnie Marie Hill Remsburg. Betty worked as a loan processor for a mortgage company. She was a member of the Toledo Bend Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Kenneth John Buras Sr., 5 step-children, Ruth McCurdy and husband Steve, Mary Helen Buras, Patti Kaye Jones and husband Steve, Susan Pipkin and husband Lynn and Kenneth John Buras Jr. and wife Elizabeth, nieces, Nancy Teates and husband Bob, Valerie Houghtaling and husband Mark and Vicki Brunette and husband Raymond, nephew, Joseph Sparkman, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 10:15 A.M. at Houston National Cemetery with Pastor Cliff Shatler officiating.
