Jesse Keck, Jr., age 87 of Bellingham, died Sunday, April 6, at St. Francis Health Care Center. Born June 29, 1926 in Osage, Oklahoma he moved to Whatcom County as a young man. On August 26, 1955 he married Anna Combee in Lynden. In the mid 60's they moved to Bellingham where Jesse worked as a minister and later for Western Farmer's.
Always ready to share a joke, Jesse had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed garage sales, antiquing and was always enthusiastic about watching wrestling on TV. Jesse was a member of Assembly of God Church and ministered at Maple Falls Assembly of God Church.
Preceded in death by his wife, Anna in 1997, Jesse is survived by daughters Penny Beard and Nalene Ferry; grandsons Michael (Kacy) Keck and Jeff Keck; granddaughters Cassie Beard and Amber Dolphus; great-granddaughters Cloey Jacks and Serenity Keck; brother Zeke Keck and brother-in-law Silas Workman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2:00 pm in Gillies Funeral Home Chapel, 202 Front St. in Lynden with Pastor Richard Strum officiating. Burial will follow in Monumenta Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to: St. Francis Foundation 3121 Squalicum Pkwy Bellingham, WA 98225.
