Barb:
Our condolences on the loss of your father. I recall how proudly you spoke of him and his accomplishments as we tried to ignore our kids during Little League. We miss you and hope to hear from you soon. We're in the book.

Love to the prettiest girl in OB!

We shall always remember the kindness and friendship that Joe and Paula showed us during the past 43 years. Joe was a mentor and father figure for us. We are so fortunate and feel so privileged to have known him.

Friendly, Kind, Very Smart, and Up to the Stars. The Chamberlains are my favorite family, next to mine.

We were so sorry to hear of your Father and Husbands passing. Just found out today and am very sorry we
did not get to see you again at Hillside Village but miss seeing Jan and her Father at the next table.
Our deepest sympathy

Joe's humor and humble nature was so evident whether he was sailing or addressing his professional piers -- it was "just call me Joe". I have great memories of sitting in the cockpit singing while Joe played his harmonica, penthouse/patio parties in Evanston, bananas foster, fried bread, blueberry pancakes, and hearing about the shooting stars, attending solar eclipses, etc.
I am so very thankful for the years spent with Paula and Joe and their family.

Since learning the sad news, I have been re-living those wonderful years working for Joe at Adler Planetarium in an amazingly cohesive astronomy department. He was a master director in all regards. He was a dear and I can't imagine not being able to see him again, ever. Linton and I had stayed with Joe and Paula a couple of years ago on our way up from Mexico and they gave us a wonderful view of their Peoria and their life. My heart goes out to Paula and the girls.

Dear Paula, Susie Barbie and Jan,

My thoughts are with you now. Uncle Joe Miles and the rest of you were there when I needed family and will always hold a special place in my heart. Please keep me posted as to arrangements for a memorial service.
Love to all, Debbie
