Aunt Edie has held a special place in my heart. Whenever I think of her, the word family comes to mind. Every thing in her life revolved around it--her immediate family (family dinners and reunions), her sisters (Stitch nights and concerts), her church & community (her thoughtfulness and caring). I will always cherish our long talks at the kitchen table, sitting on the front porch swing listening to the cicadias and watching the fireflies as the moon came up on those humid summer nights, attending a band concert in Glen Oak park. These are just a few memories that I will always carry with me.
