We are so very very sorry that Mel has had such difficult medical problems. Now, he is no longer in pain and and for that we are happy. He would not want anyone to anguish about his passing. We will all be together again some day. Mel would want us to all live each day to the fullest.

I have known this great man for over 35 years, and today I can truly say that I have just lost a fantastic friend. Officially, he is my Uncle Mel, but emotionally, he is 'My Brother', forever as close to my heart and soul as my own family is to me.
As the years passed us by, I witnessed his son and 2 daughters grow up to be fantastic adults who started their own families; who loved their father and grandfather to no end. Every one of them as well are like family and very special to me, and this is why it is so hard for me to say goodbye to their dad. But, I won't say goodbye after all.
I love and will never forget you Uncle Mel, and I pray that one day the Good Lord allows me into Paradise where you have certainly gone. We will once again meet up, shake hands, and talk about the good times.
Until that day comes Uncle Mel... rest easy My Brother...
