Miss Fancher was an amazing teacher and taught not only art, because she taught by example how to treat others! We all looked so forward to her art class and if you were lucky enough, her Sunday school class. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She saw beauty in everything and everyone! Thank you for lessons learned. Sweet peace and rest dear lady!!

To the Fancher Family:
I have memories of Miss Fancher as she was my teacher at Mary P. Hinsdale school. She taught everyone Art and also how you should treat others with respect and kindness. She always said to me so you the youngest of the Ellis girls, I've had them all. There were 8 of us. Prayers and thoughts are with you all. Sincerely, Terry E. Fredsall

Pauline was also a life member of an international organization-Delta Kappa Gamma. This is an organization that honors women educators. Pauline was our fine arts chair for many, many years. She was truly a valued member of our local chapter-Upsilon Chapter for over 50 years. What a wonderful example of a dedicated and respected educator.

My fondest memory of my wonderful Aunt Polly would be getting a call, as a college student, from her to be her driver to a concert in Hartford. The next thing I knew we were seated at a Lawrence Welk show. We had a blast and her smile lighted our way home. I'll miss you Aunt Pauline.

I was blessed as a young boy to have an Uncle on my Mother's side and an Aunt on my Father's who appreciated the arts and loved to show others how much meaning it can bring to your life. I will miss Aunt Polly and her gentle, kind, Christian approach to living.
