Debbie was not only a long time coworker to me but a friend and mentor. She taught me a lot not only in academics but life lessons as well. I will never forget her for everything she helped me accomplish. May she rest easy and prayers to her family and friends.

I worked alongside Deb for many years in the ASC at Northwestern. Deb welcomed countless students and tutors through those doors, and tutored many herself. She loved a good laugh, and I often fed into this with pranks set on her or unsuspecting students. She loved her dog Lucy, and most every day would share with me the Corgi antics from the evening before. Deb was a kind hearted, genuine soul who loved her husband and boys very much. My sincerest sympathies to Kirk, Levi, and Zack. May you find Peace in all the memories you have of your wife and mom.

Debra was a pleasure to work with. She touched the lives of many. I had the pleasure of watching students amazed at all they learn from her. At a CTO graduation today she was not forgotten. Her students love her. As do we. All gave great testimonials to her. She will continue to live through her students and all she has taught them. As she took care of everyone else more than herself.
When taking a break from teaching she would always brag about her boys and how proud of them she was. It was then that she'd smile most. She loved her family. Always loved camping in the summer. It seemed to refresh her and she'd come back caring and giving even more. Debra we are going to miss you. May we continue to give as you would. Giving all you possibly could.
May God carry your family through this difficult time now. Glad you are no longer in pain. Hope you found that magic wand. Love ya.

Kirk, Levi, and Zach,

let's try not to mourn her death; that is not what Deb would want. Deb wanted only happiness for those she loved.

Let's celebrate her life because she influenced so much of what we are today and will live in our memories. I loved her and always will. I was blessed to have her as my daughter in law.

I will miss Debra so very much. She was a class act. She helped the Skills Center to develop and was so good to the students and tutors and teachers. She was smart and loving. I loved her. Debra had a life well lived. My condolences to Kirk and the boys.

I think mine was the first class Deb took when she returned to school. I remember that she impressed me with her hunger for knowledge. It was such a pleasure to watch her grow and eventually become a colleague and an integral part of NCCC. I will miss her insight and laugh.
