He was the BEST coach I ever had. He cared about me. One summer,1968, he got me out of a job working in the sewer beds(Gardner Water Dept)to a groundskeeper at Gardner Municipal golf course. How sweet. I'm still thanking him! I love the man he was and take with me everything he taught. I believe he is up there assisting Coach Dubzinski now on another championship team. He is one of my life's heroes. My regards to Marty Jr., Sandy, Judy, Karen, Mrs. A. and Rook.

I am sad to hear that he is gone. I remember him as a neighbor in the 50's with his house on Spruce St. full of kids, as well as my teacher at GHS. God bless the entire family at this tender time. With warm hugs and prayers.

I have not been in touch with Marty or his family for many years, but they were a big part of my life at one time. He was a good man and will be missed. My heart goes out to his family and especially Karen, one of my best friends in High School. I lost my dad recently and know how hard it is. He will live in our hearts forever.

My heartfelt condolensces to the family of Marty Anderson. I had the real pleasure of coaching with Marty on the 1984 championship Oakmont football team. He was a real gentleman at all times and impressed me as a man of high character. Of course, his football knowledge was beyond question. I was fortunate to work with him and call him not only a collegue but a fine friend. God bless him.

Please accept my thoughts at this time. I remember how passionate Coach Anderson was, both as a coach and teacher. He truly enspired me to pursue a career in the coaching profession. He was one of kind.
