James was certainly a character. Always laughing and goofing off. He brought life to any situation or place we'd go. The last time i was with him I remember being upset about something stupid and he sat across from me and made faces at me until i laughed. I never knew how much small moments like that would mean to me. He was truly a big brother to me and the space his absence leaves in my heart is undescrible. I know that that space wont be there for too long though and I along with so many others await to see him again. Now we just gotta make sure we're there to see him wake up. Dear Renee and family,



I first met your family and James about 9-years ago. We were cleaning the hall for the Memorial, and I met your family. I went back over to get my son Colin because I wanted him to meet James. Colin didn’t want to come over but a dear sister took Colin’s arm and took him over to North side to meet James and that’s when their friendship began.

I remember James at the District Convention last year. On Sunday when we had to leave the convention because of the fire drill, James was struggling to carry all of the bags, bibles, song books etc, that the rest of his friends left at their seats. I think I told James just to leave everybody else’s stuff and just bring his, he seemed relieved not having to be responsible for his friends (my son’s included) personals.


We will all look forward to seeing James in Paradise.

I didn't know James very long but even with that short period of time we were friends he just made me feel as if we were friends for years! In that short time I got see James was such a caring, loving person and always had me laughing. He was always willing to help me out whenever i needed it, showing that true brotherly love. I really didnt know james for that long but from the few times that I hung out with him. I noticed how he was always the one that made everyone laugh no matter what mood they were in. And I thought that was pretty cool cuz life is really tooo short to take stuff serious all the time and he helped me learn that. Smh I cant even say anything else, this still feels unreal!!!

I remember first meeting James and it was weird because we became like instantly cool with each other. Which doesn't normally happen, he was telling me to come out to de a lot and he was nonstop cracking jokes! He was truly a good fun loving person who meant a lot to everyone!

James was very special to our family with his infectious smile and laughter. He spent many days & nights at our house eating, working on his car, my car, his bike, all while begging Samina to bake him chocolate chip cookies, and of course playing video games.

We thank you Thompson and Gregory family for raising a servant of Jehovah who was a brother, a son, and a friend to all who knew him. Whose presence will be missed deeply until we meet again in Paradise, that OUR God, Jehovah God, who can not lie, has promised!

Although James and I weren't really close he was like a brother to me. He will be truly missed. So sorry for you're loss!!

I didn't know James really well, but I knew he could always put a smile on someone's face. When I first met him, he jokingly told me his name was Semaj, still makes me laugh til this day. James was a good friend to me. He would sometimes come to Philly to hang out and to have fun. We would talk about cars, systems, going fast, and other things that guys would talk about. I would sometimes clown James on the clothes he wore because it was so plain but I respected him because he was original. I loved this dude like a brother and it's so sad that he went to sleep so young. I know he wouldn't want us to be sad and to be strong to make his family stronger. Shaq, words can not explain the emotion that I get when I think about you being gone. The time we spent was always upbuilding and I'm appreciative of the time we did have. We all have to treat people the right way because we never know when we will not have them in our lives anymore. Though I only met James once we connected instantly. Since we had the same love for cars and Jehovah I knew we would be life time friends. Though I didn't expect that to be so short lived. I send my love and prayers to the family and may Jehovah be with you.
