Fly high, Dr DePierro. You are the person who I will always credit with my teaching successes. Your letter of recommendations and kind words are the reason why I am the teacher who I am. I will long remember your kindness for the 4 years I was at Seton Hall in the Teaching program. Even after I left, you took the time to help me out, and to guide me in the right direction. Heaven has another angel watching over this flock. God Bless.

Joe was an inspiration to active and future teachers. He had a dedication and vision that was catching, and made you want to live up to it. Always with a smile, he made me feel welcome to the Seton Hall family.

I have fond memories of Dr. De Pierro during my studies at Seton Hall. He was my professor and dean at the time and a very helpful, caring person. It saddened me to read the obituary and hereby offer my sincerest condolences to his entire family.

Dear Dr. Mary De Pierro,
I was very sorry to hear about your loss, I know you will miss him dearly, as well as cherish the many memories. God's Word gives us much comfort and support, especially when it promises that our dear loved ones will have a precious hope of a resurrection to life here on earth. (Acts 24 verse 15 and John 11 verse 25). It also gives us the comfort that God will give you the courage and the strength to cope (2Corinthians 1 verses 3 and 4). I hope these scriptures help you as they have for me. My thoughts and prayers will be with you in this most difficult time.

I was so sad to see this in today's paper. Dr. De Pierro was such a kind and considerate man. He taught one of my classes at Seton Hall, and was passionate about teching reading to children. One day he brought in jelly and crackers to go along with the children's book that he read to us. I've never forgotten him as he was an excellent teacher! He truly made a difference in my teaching.

It was always great to be in his company. He always made you feel important when he acknowledged you at a meeting or an event.

A kind and good man. His many friends are a living tribute to his memory. He helped so many climb the ladder of his profession. A great teacher. Thank you Joe for being my friend and mentor. Al Johnson
