While I had the honor of meeting him in person only a few times, I have been very impressed with his bravery during the war, and his talents as an artist... and that he was a good father, and a good man. Remember all the wonderful times you shared with him. Keep his warmth and life alive in your hearts.

Doug and Donna,
I will always hold fond memories of your father as a man who said little but did so much. I am grateful to him for his service during WWII and admire his courage to share his experience for future generations. He was such a talented artist as well. Viewing his prints will keep his memory alive in our hearts for many years; what a treasured gift!
I will never forget how he held my hand with such love as we said 'Good-bye' for the last time.
