My best regards to Rick's family. I went to school with him, and I will always remember him since I got paddled (my fist and last time) by Tom Fato at Triadelphia for getting involved in a "disagreement" with Rick. It was a good thing for me that Rick was restrained at that age. I know I would have lost for sure.
I haven't seen Rick in years. Unfortunately, I never did get to see him compete. I had always wanted to go see one of his bouts and see if he remembered much about Jr. High, but I guess I'll have to wait and see if there is boxing in heaven. If so, it's probably scored with points and not pain. I'm glad Rick was a Christian.

I met Rick several years ago when he was living in the Children's Home of Wheeling, a group home for youths on National Road. I was saddened to hear about his passing. Rick was one of those type of people that you never forgot after you met him. I had thought about him over the years, wondered what he was up to & if he had any children. My sympathy goes out to his wife & to his children! I know what it is like to lose a loved one. They are very lucky to have had Rick in their lives. Cherish the memories because I believe that one day you will see your loved ones again. Then it will be a time to rejoice. Thank You & God Bless Rick's family!
