Guestbook for Dave Floyd Showing 1 - 5 of 20 entries.

Dear Sue, I just recently learned of Dave's passing and I was so shocked and saddened. I had to tell you that although I didn't know him well, he helped me so much when I needed it. At the time of the KRKI sale and he left to work for Rains Motor Co. , Dave is the one who told me (and pushed)me to apply for a sales position with the new owners. I had worked there part-time, filling in for Vicki Wasson when she was on vacation and did some (very bad) Sunday AM deejaying. At the time I was a newly single Mom and needed more money , but the thought of doing what Dave did was terrifying.
He encouraged me and I was able to get the job and make decent money in Estes Park which is not an easy thing to do for a woman! I don't know if I was ever very good at sales - I inherited a good client list - but that job helped me in so many ways - (despite the bad outcome KRKI eventually had) and I NEVER would have gotten into the sales end of radio w/o Dave telling me I could do it. I left when KRKI was sold, but that job lead me to other things I never would have thought I could have done w/o that experience. So it can be said that Dave really changed my life for the better. He was a good man and he will be missed by many. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart is broken for you, I know you truly were his best friend and the love of his life. You both were very lucky to have each other.
I'll never forget Dave Floyd!

Dear Sue & Family, Dave was a friend in high school. He had a great sense of humor, quiet respect for others, and an intellectual curiosity. While I did not know him after high school, I shall remember him as a caring and good person. Warm regards to you & all your family, Sincerely, Barbara Kaslikowski Sells

Sue,

My prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time in your life and loss of Dave. What I remember most of Dave at Salpointe is that he loved life and to laugh. I am sure he is smiling at you and all those he loved here on earth!

May God heal your heart and give you peace at this time!

To the Floyd Family,

Dave was really too cool for high school because he had a TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE! And he let me take it for a spin!
My prayers for the Floyd family.
