Papa Roy. you were always good to me. You never treated me like I was my mistakes.I know we didn't know each other extremely well, buty you always did me right. I will miss you and know you will be around when you are needed. See you on the other side.

That last Wednesday I walked in the room
my heart dropped and I knew
your time with us was wearing thin
I knew that I was losing you.

You made us all smile
you made us all laugh
it lasted for only awhile
but now it’s just the past

That is what I will remember,
your bravery and your love
that caring wise and watchful eye
which now peers at us from above.

Goodbye my Uncle Roy,
I shall see you again
in heaven where the stars stay.
I will be there one day!

I can still hear you singing ---
“Some Call It Heaven, I call it Home”
(Ps. I remember how I made you so mad calling you “RoRo” you would call me “Christie Jane”)

I only have the fondest memories of Uncle Roy. I remember him being able to throw a football over the power lines that were close to Grandma Ruby's house! I even remember his and Uncle Roger's graduation from Sunset High School. I always loved him even though we had lost touch over the years. I am sad he's gone but happy he's in no more pain. I know he must be so happy to see his mama and daddy, and all his brothers and sisters up there.

Uncle Roy had such a gift for giving to others. I admired his strength, his courage & most of all his perserverance. Just a short year ago, he was a voice of strength to me as I was dealing with very difficult & delicate health issues with my parents. I will forever miss him. Love always - Cindy
God bless all...
