William David Keesee
September 15, 1938 ~ November 22, 2013
Funeral services for William David Keesee, 75 of College Station, are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville with Rev. Chris Osborn officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Mr. Keesee died at his residence in College Station.
He was born September 15, 1938 to Ben Fogle and Zelma Lee Jackson Wooton in Big Springs, Texas. He served in the United States Air Force from 1958 until 1962 and worked for Hughes Tool Co. in Houston until his retirement. He then worked as a grounds keeper for Texas A&M University until he retired.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ben Fogle Keesee and his biological mother, Zelma Wooten.
Survivors include his daughters, Dianne Poehl of Hill Top Lakes, TX, Mary Derkowski from College Station, TX, and Catherine Hagen of Seattle, Washington; his brothers, Benny Keesee of Liberty, TX, Jimmy Keesee of Somerville, TX and a sister, Joyce Ann Keesee of Center, TX; grandchildren, Jana Poehl, Mark Poehl, II, David Derkowski, II, Lindsey Derkowski, Brooks Derkowski, and Henry Hagen along with numerous other relatives.
