Our precious Mother, Elizabeth Mary Baker, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2018 in Pasco, WA with family at her side. She was 88 years old.
Mom will be greatly missed by all who knew her, for her caring, loving ways and her strong will. She was always very appreciative of all the small things in life. She spent the majority of her life as a homemaker and she mastered being the best mother any child could ask for. She was so proud of her family, and cherished every minute she spent with them. With a family full of sports fans, she was by far the biggest Mariner & Seahawk fan of all.
Mom was born in Ogdensburg, NY January 15, 1930, and married the love of her life, Floyd Baker in July of 1954. They started their family in Ogdensburg, NY, then later moved to Rochester, NY, and finally settled in Kennewick, where they have lived since 1976.
She is survived by her son, Steven (Vicki) Baker; daughter, Katherine (David) VanDyke; grandchildren, Jenelle, Danielle, Brandon, Char, Jackie, David, and ten precious great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; parents, Patrick and Corine Tynon; seven brothers, Clifford, Leo, William, Dennis, Joseph, Richard, Anthony; sister, Dorothy; and her cherished grandson John Oxford.
Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Lourdes Medical Center for the special care and treatment they provided to our special Mom. Thank you for sending her to heaven peacefully.
At Mom’s request, a family Celebration of Life is being scheduled for a later date.
