ALEXANDRIA, IN- E. Catherine Armstrong, 102, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the Summit Convalescent Center in Summitville following a brief illness.
Catherine was born in Johnson County, Indiana and has lived in Alexandria for most of her lifetime. She has worked at the Glove Corporation, formerly of Alexandria. She retired in 2003 from the Bright Corporation of Anderson after several years of employment. Catherine enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 39 years Claude Armstrong, sister-Dorothy Cunningham and a grandson-Gary Armstrong
Services honoring Catherine’s life and legacy will take place at 1 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2017, in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria. Pastor Randy Murphy will officiate. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson. Friends may call at the funeral home after 12 noon on Thursday prior to the services.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital through the funeral home.
