Marsha A. Burnett, age 68, of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Marsha was born on September 11, 1948 in Peoria, IL to Louis "Bob" and JoAnne (Moody) Durr. She married John A. Burnett on May 6, 1966 in Peoria.
Surviving are her husband, John; two sons, John A. Burnett II and Cody E. Burnett, both of Peoria; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She is also survived by one sister, Bobbi (Victor) Fernandez of Bremen, IN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, and one grandson, John A. Burnett III.
Marsha was a CNA and worked for Manor Care for 20 years, when she retired in 2012. She was a member of the American Legion Post 2 Auxiliary. Marsha liked to shop and just being out and about. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 4pm to 6pm at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Cremation rites will be according following the visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Burnett family.
