MILDRED LOUELLA "MILLIE" McGETTRICK
Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident Mildred Louella "Millie" McGettrick will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 29 at Cortez First Baptist Church. Pastor Marvin Graves will officiate.
Millie was born December 23, 1924 in Delta, Colo. the daughter of Jesse Alva and Sarah Maude (Merica) Leonard. She passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017 at her residence at the age of 92.
Millie married DeWayne Leroy McGettrick on March 30, 1943 in Aztec, N.M. Millie enjoyed canning, gardening, embroidering. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Surviving Millie are her daughter, Beverly Williamson (Ken) of Cortez; five grandchildren and five-great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Donald McGettrick; her daughters, Sandra and Millie McGettrick; and her siblings, Jess Leonard, Margaret Ford, and Frankie Leonard.
Memorial contributions may be made in Millie's name to Hospice of Montezuma.
