Paul Kenneth Shutt Jr. of Aberdeen, MD, died on March 30th, 2017 at The Hermitage in Richmond, VA. He was born in Washington, DC on December 9, 1926 to the late Paul K Shutt Sr. and Dena Marie Shutt.

He was the loving husband of Lillian Shutt for 64 years; the beloved father to son, Michael Shutt, his wife Cathy and daughter Paula Chipley and her husband Michael. He was adored by his five grandchildren: Gregory Ebert, Rebecca Kodesh, Joseph Shutt (wife Lauren), Meredith Dibert (husband Christian), Matthew Shutt and two great-grandsons: Benjamin Ebert and Landon Kodesh. He is remembered fondly by his sister-in-law, Nona Shutt, his brother Robert Shutt and his wife Marlyn. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Lillian, and his brother, Charles Shutt.

Paul worked for the Federal Government for almost 40 years, starting as a Design Draftsman and ending his career as a Production Controller at Edgewood Arsenal, retiring in 1982. In 1970 he was one of seven finalist for the "Federal Civil Servant of the Year" for the state of Maryland. He was known for his volunteer efforts with Boy Scouts, Meals on Wheels, AARP Tax Aide and Baker Cemetery Trustee.

Family visitation will be held in Grace United Methodist Church of Aberdeen, 110 West Bel Air Ave, Aberdeen, MD on Saturday, April 8 from 12:30pm to 1:45PM. A celebration of his life will occur at 2PM, followed by a reception in Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grace United Methodist Church of Aberdeen in his memory.
