Arthur Roberts Hinckley passed away February 7, 2017 at the Trios Hospital in Kennewick, Washington. Arthur was born in Pasco, Washington, November 17, 1939. He was a lifetime resident of Kennewick, attending Kennewick Schools, and then graduating from Eastern Washington University.
In 1994 he retired from Westinghouse Hanford. The Columbia River was his favorite playground. He was a member of Clover Island Yacht Club and he loved participating in club activities, especially the Lighted Boat Parade. Arthur spent hours every year decorating his boat, as well as helping other members in decorating their boats using his previous years decorations. Arthur served as Commodore of the Yacht Club in 1982.
Arthur is survived by his brother James H. Hinckley; his wife Patricia Hinckley; his daughter Stacy Day; and two grandsons, Mason and Ari Day. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Howard F. Hinckley and Josephine Kempkes Hinckley.
A Memorial Service and Ceremony of the Ashes will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Clover Island Yacht Club, 104 Clover Island Drive in Kennewick, WA 99336.
