Richard Henry Parthum, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in Richmond. He was born July 11, 1931 in Woodrow Community to Curt Eric Parthum and Sophie Meyer Parthum. Richard served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal service.
Survived by his sons, Randy Parthum and wife Ronda, Michael Parthum and wife Karen, 5 brothers, Leroy Parthum and wife Betty, Emil Parthum, Raymond Parthum and wife Carolyn, Lawrence Parthum and wife Peggy, Alfred Parthum and wife Karen, sister, Betty Ann Parthum, granddaughter, Lindsay Parthum and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Clara Louise Parthum and brother Lester Parthum.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, 2016 in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday evening, November 13, 2016 from 5-8 P.M. in the Stateroom at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rosenberg VFW Post.
