William M. Rottner, 74, died Wednesday, October 26 , 2016 at the Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack. Born in Hoboken, he lived there until moving to North Arlington 11 years ago. He worked as a mechanic for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey in Harrison for over 25 years before retiring .William served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Queen of Peace Council # 3428 in North Arlington and was very active with the Food Pantry at Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington. He was the beloved husband of Joan Rottner ( nee O'Grady ), the devoted father of Kimberly Cerreto and her husband Joseph and Debra Altilio and her husband Jason, the cherished grandfather of Allison Altilio and the dear brother of Victor and Veronica Rottner. Funeral from the Parow Funeral Home 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington on Saturday, October 29th at 11 a.m. thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington for the Funeral Mass at 12 Noon. Cremation Private. The family will receive friends on Friday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to the Food Pantry at Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington.
