Richard L. Brown, Jr., 72, departed this life Sat. Aug. 6, 2016 at home.
Born in Mullens, WV, he lived in Plainfield 50 years. He was employed as a mail carrier with the Plainfield Post Office retiring after 30 years. He was a U S Navy veteran during the Vietnam War. Mr. Brown is a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Plainfield where he served on the Prison Ministry. He was a former member of First Baptist Church of Colonia where he served as a deacon.
He is predeceased by his wife Malcomia I. Brown and a brother James Brown.
Surviving are 2 daughters Leatres Brown and Adrienne Smith (Nehru); 3 brothers Garland, Clarence and Herbert Brown; 4 sisters Shirley Bentley, Muriel Hoskins (Charles), Beulah Mae Brown and Brenda Little; 2 sisters in law Barbara Howard (Earl) and Gloria James; 4 brothers in law Charles (Martha), Michael (Mary), Levi and David Hoover.
