Richard D Sizer of Weare, NH formerly of Weymouth, MA passed away after a brief illness on June 28, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Charlene Sizer (Buglio), his son James Sizer of Pall Mall, TN, daughter Lynne Rogers and granddaughters Olivia, Emily and Jacqueline Rogers of Pembroke, MA, and his sister Nancy Sizer of Quincy, MA. Richard grew up in Quincy, he graduated from Quincy high school. After high school he joined the United States Marines and served from 1957-1963. He attended Mass College of Art and then worked for the United States Air Force as an illustrator for 34 years. His love of basketball was known to all who knew him. He played semi pro basketball, coached CYO basketball then went on to recruit and coach at many colleges and High schools throughout Massachusetts and NH. He was a mentor to many of his players throughout his 50 plus years of coaching.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Friday 1:00PM at French and Rising Funeral Home 17 South Mast Street Goffstown NH.
