Johney  Davis
  
Johney Davis, 87, of Middletown, husband of the late Gwendolyn (Brock) Davis, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Florence, SC, he was the son of the late Grealie and Ella (Piett) Davis.

Johney lived in Middletown since 1967 and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was a member of Cross Street A.M.E. Zion Church where he was on the Board of Trustee and the Chancel Choir. Johney worked at International Silver Company, Guida's Dairy and Stop and Shop.

Johney is survived by a brother, Willie Davis of Johnsonville, SC and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Hattie Ree Davis.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5th at 11:00 am at Cross Street A. M. E. Zion Church. Burial will follow in the State Veterans' Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Johney's memory may be made to Cross Street A. M. E.
