John H. Ezell, 90, of Meriden, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Apple Rehab of Coccomo in Meriden. Born in Walker Springs, AL, he was the son of the late Albert and Winnie (Rivers) Ezell.
John lived in Meriden for the past twenty-one years moving from Middletown. He was a member of Cross Street AME Zion Church and worked for thirty-one years at American Cyanamid Company retiring in 1992.
John is survived by two sons, Irving K. Ezell of Meriden and William C. Ezell of New Britain; a daughter, Allyson Ezell Blackman of New Britain; a brother, Robert Harris of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, LuVelma Harris, Ellen Rose Harris, both of Mobile, AL and Doris Jean Harris of Los Angeles, CA; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, John was predeceased by a daughter, Melissa J. Ezell; two brothers, Jasper and Joel Ezell and three sisters, Juanita Ezell, Clara Turner and Thelma Harris.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 7th at 11:00 am at Cross Street A.M.E. Zion Street, 440 West Street, Middletown.
