Maria E. Pereira Silva, 66, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at her home in North Arlington. Born in Portugal she lived in Kearny before moving to North Arlington in 1981. She worked as a machinist for Eagle Affiliates in Harrison for 18 years before retiring. Maria was the beloved wife of Cristovao Silva, the devoted mother of Nuno Silva and his wife Michelle, the cherished grandmother of Emma and Alyssa Silva, the dear sister of Emilio Cardoso and his wife Lizete, Arminda Silva and her husband Alexandre and loving sister-in- law of Armando and Gracinta Silva. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 2nd at 9:45 in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1st at the Parow Funeral Home 185 Ridge Rd., North. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
