Eugene Roy Yott, Sr., age 55 of Stanton, died Wednesday April 27, 2016 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. He was born August 26, 1960 at Beatrice, Nebraska the son of Thomas III and Rae Berta (Schmidt) Yott and attended Beatrice High School in Beatrice.
On November 18, 1988 Eugene married Brenda Smith in Beatrice. Eugene was employed as a welder he worked at Apache Manufacturing in Norfolk for 10 years, 3 years for Great Dane Trailers in Wayne. He was employed at Smeal Manufacturing in Snyder from 2000 until 2015.
He was a member of North Fork Frontiersman. He loved spending time with his grandkids and his hobbies were hunting, fishing, camping, leadership in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, tinkering on his cars, woodworking and blacksmithing.
Surviving Eugene is his wife of 27 years Brenda Yott of Stanton; 3 sons Eugene R. and Sara Yott, Jr. of Howells; Tylor and Rachel Jamison of Garland, NE; Forrest and Jamie Jamison of Omaha; 7 Grandchildren Nichaella Jamison of Creighton; DeeRoy Jamison of Garland; MaryAnna Jamison of Garland; Ashley Johnson of Bellevue; Nicole Bader of Columbus; Daniel Lyday of Howells; 2 Great Grandchildren; Brother Bruce and Leisha Yott of Auburn, NE; Father and Mother-In-Law Don and Arlene Smith of DeWitt, NE; Sister and Brother-In-Law Charlene and Steve Durante of Odell, NE; several nieces and nephews.
Eugene is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation: 3-8 P.M. Sunday at Shultz-Vogel-Johnson Mortuary in Stanton.
