Alice H. Brown, 95, of Fredericksburg, Virginia peacefully departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
Alice was born in Caroline County to the late Milton and Hammie Jones. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church, Spotsylvania, VA, where she was an active member until she was unable to attend. She sang on the senior choir. She had an unwavering faith in God, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that would await her. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Mary E. Jones and Estelle Howard Holmes, and two brothers; Willie Lee Jones and Milton Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memory forever, her four loving children; sons; Junior Brown (Judy) of Paintsville, Kentucky, Eugene Brown Sr., and Robin Jones both of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and one daughter; Jerri B. Fortune (Rev. William Fortune) of Stafford, Virginia; two stepsons, Bernard and James Brown of King George, VA; one brother, William Henry Jones of Montpelier, VA; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
