PEORIA - David J. Young 74, of Peoria passed away at 7:42 a.m. Wednesday, Jan 27, 2016, at his residence.
He was born April 13, 1941, in Bond County, Ill. HE married Shirley Wood in Peoria in 1984.
She survives along with five sons and five daughters, including a son Raymond (Lorie) Closen of Peoria, and a daughter Wendy (Delbert) Watson of Springfield; numerous grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
David was a self-employed recycler.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Wilton Mortuary is in charge of arrangements A celebration of David's life will be Tuesday, Feb. 2 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 117 S Steubenville St., Peoria, II 61605.
